Messrs OFFICINA MECCANICA Dl CERRETO have introduced a new, further developed yarn raising machine, Model ROC TS, with winding onto bobbins.

It enables a significant increase in productivity by virtue of operating on the principle of "independent winding positions".

The new Model ROC TS retains the features of the conventional yarn raising machine, namely the diversity of raising, both of looped yarns of coarse deniers as well: as of flat yarns of medium deniers of mohair, manmade fibres and various fibre mixtures.

Model ROC TS is available in two forms:

  • Type ROC/TS/1, on which each working position raises one yarn
  • Type ROC/TS/2, on which each working position raises two yarns.

Both models can be supplied with 6, 12, 18 and 24 positions.

Characteristics of the new machine are described as follows:

  • Each working position is equipped with a patented device which enables raising to commence immediately while the machine is running.
  • Each working position is equipped with a patented electronic module, as already fitted on the traditional raising machine, and which enables the raised yarn to be wound as loosely as possible, under constant control of the winding tension.
  • Delivery speed is varied by a centrally located potentiometer.
  • The machine is capable of immediately adjusting the raising speed without the need for altering the delivery speed. In this way, optimum productivity can be achieved in simple manner.
  • A preselector is fitted, which automatically stops the working position when the desired bobbin diameter is attained, without interrupting the production at the other winding positions.
  • A digital tachometer displays the production speed. Electronic stop motions signal a thread break, and the working position is halted.
  • A centrally located suction mechanism, contained within the confines of the machine, provides for the removal of waste and fibre fly from every working position.
  • The supply packages are not mounted on a creel, but are located simply at the lower, front side of the machine.
  • As regards to the traditional machines, thanks to the higher speed and output, the productivity increase could be valued on certain yarns from 40% minimum to a 100% maximum.
